12 Nationwide Evening Events to Provide Families, Friends and Fans the Opportunity to See the First Two Films in THE TWILIGHT SAGA Under the Stars.

Los Angeles, CA June 18, 2010 – In celebration of the lunar eclipse on the evening of June 26th, Summit Entertainment is inviting everyone across the nation to “TWILIGHT Night,” a 12-city event including outdoor screenings of TWILIGHT and THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. The family and community-oriented events are the perfect chance for those new to the film franchise as well as moviegoers in general to immerse themselves in THE TWILIGHT SAGA phenomenon just in time for the highly anticipated theatrical release of THE TWILIGHT SAGA: ECLIPSE, the third installment of Summit Entertainment’s TWILIGHT SAGA film franchise, on June 30th.

Events are currently scheduled to take place in the following cities and venues. Doors open at 6:00 PM local time in each city. Attendance will be accommodated on a first come, first served basis. See local event information for additional instructions.

What are you looking forward to with Lover Mine? I want Lash dealt with...FINALLY. I want Darius to bubble up in JM's sub-consciousness and give the boy some kind of confidence and mad fighting skills, a lifeline back to Tohr and some peace. I want to know more about Payne - and i pray that the Warden was generous with V and Wrath.

Zsadist and Phury!!! All I have to say about this weeks pick is this: 1. I wish I lived wherever Freddie Ljungberg played soccer so I could become a hooligan and go to every game, and 2. Gabriel Aubry is just...gah! Halle Berry is one lucky bitch! We actually chose these pics together. Finally an excuse to surf the net for pretty, half naked boys...well a legitimate excuse this time seeing as it's for the blog. Wheeeeee!!!

We're having trouble with Wrath. We found one that we can agree on, but we don't think the BDB community at large will agree with us. We've left a hint on the blog. Curious if anyone figures it out.

Carrying on with our "Brother-a-week" photo series, we give you Butch O'Neil. I always loved that after Butch came to live with V, er, I mean the Brothers, that he turned into such a fashionista. I always thought it was such a funny point of character development from the hard core, Irish, tough guy, cop to fretting over which pair of Ferragamos he would wear. I'm a total SuitS!ut so to find such a perfectly dressed "Butch" was a real bright spot in my day.

The model in the photo is Argentinian professional polo player, Nacho Figueras. Sure makes a pretty Butch, doesn't he?

Jess and I have had a long standing disagreement about who makes a better Rhage. She's always been on Team Smith while I was on anyone's team but Smith's...and then I found this picture. So Jess, it is with great humilty that I concede and admit that Smith COULD be Rhage. I leave the door open for the PERFECT Rhage, shoudl I ever find him.

For all of your Black Dagger girls (and boys), Lover Mine, hits the book stores on April 27. I can't WAIT!!

Just for the record, this whole perfect brothers picture hunt is pretty freakin' hard. Let us know when we get it right.

HBO True Blood Promo Ads

You've all seen them, right? The season three promos for HBO's True Blood are very cool, but we just want to make sure that everyone knows that the WeBook Girls did it first. Last year at TwiCon we gave out these kick ass punker pins and one of them was a naughty VILF button. We were so ahead of the creative curve, its ridiculous.

What really sucks? If we tried to go back and sell the buttons or a shirt with our original design, we'd risk having the big, corporate boys behind HoBO would shut us down.

Vampire Baseball - New Orleans, LA

We had such a great time in New Orleans at the FanTrips Vampire Baseball Charity Game, the Sinners vs the Saints. We got to talk to Nelsan Ellis (Lafayette from True Blood) about the books vs. the HBO Series and why in the heck they didn't have a Bubba on the show. Nelsan said there would be no Bubba, because "that would be cheesy." Jess and I both think thats EXACTLY WHY he should be included. So much fun!! He took one of our new Vampires, Shifters and Faries...Oh MY shirts to Sookie herself and asked us to make a special shirt for him. More details on that special request later.

We got to spend a little time in the dugout with the Sinners Team and had a great time watching the game and hanging out with the celebs.

WeBook Apparel had a vendor table and we got a chance to meet a lot of new friends and book lovers. We got to hang out with Heidi and Lauren from The Twilight Saga FB page, Kara from TwilightersAnonymous.com, and Kimmy from HisGoldenEyes.com, and went to the New Moon DVD release party at Borders where the web-girls hosted a fun Q&A and showed the new Eclipse trailer.

We're already hard at work on the next Vampire Baseball event scheduled for May 22 in Salt Lake City, UT. Check out the website and check back often as the team roster will be filling out in the coming weeks. It's a great event for fans and the celebs - definitely a nice afternoon at the ballpark.

True Blood's Lafayette Playing for Vamp Baseball

Actor Nelson Ellis, Lafayette Reynolds on HBO's True Blood series based on the wildly popular Southern Vampire books by Charlaine Harris, will be participating in the Vampire Baseball charity event in New Orleans, LA on March 20. In addition to playing the game, Nelson will be available for Cozy Coffees - a unique opportunity to chat with with him in an unstructured and casual environment - Participation is limited to 30 fans per celebrity. Check the list of celebrities participating - NFL Saints players, Twilight and New Moon cast members, a Prison Break cast member and local New Orleans celebrities, as well. Get your tickets here!!

I'm stoked to see Rob on screen in a non-Edward context. We felt the same when we saw Little Ashes last year. So excited!!

30 Seconds to Mars', Beautiful Lie has been a constant part of any soundtrack when I'm reading my vamp books - or lately, books about futuristic, intergallactic Assasins. It doesn't matter if I'm reading J.R. Ward's tough Brotherhood books, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunters or The League books this song just seems to fit. It more than fits, it just torques up the angst - the ineveitable betrayal or secret someone or another is always keeping from the other. It even worked for me on New Moon when Edward left Bella. So for the love of Jordan Catalano, big, surly characters and leather clad boys we love, I leave you with my top choice for ANY read along soundtrack for BDB and a long list of other great books. OH! And Robward channeling James Dean in a tough looking leather jacket. ::sigh::

We just got some brand new details on Vampire Baseball!!! Being on the inside has its advantages.

Yes, we're taking WeBook and two brand new Sookie designs to New Orleans for Vampire Bseball and we're hoping to spend a little time with Nelson Ellis (True Blood's Lafayette).

Teams are made up of Twilight cast members, a couple NFL Saints, local celebrities and maybe a few surprise guests. Autographs, photo opportunties and tickets for the after show featuring The National Rifle, Lee Safar and MuteMath are all for sale at Twilight Fan Trips. Vampire Baseball is a charity event benefitting Haitian Relief and local Louisiana organizations.

We've tried book club before...and we'll keep trying until we can keep our wiley bunch focused. Jos had a stroke of genius in deciding that our new thing is that we're going to chose books that have film adaptations, too. Book talk, wine and the movie. Sounds perfect!!

February's book is The Time Travelers Wife by Audrey Niffenegger and I have to say I'm pretty hooked. After the summer of Jamie Fraser (Outlander) and the Fall and holiday season filled with Plum and Morelli (Janet Evanovich)and Jess just having come off of Sookie, Henry and Clare are looking pretty good.

Jess and I just got tickets to go see MUSE and the Silversun Pickups in April. We are SO excited. Its one of those ying yang things we talk about all the time. MUSE is my fave right now and Silversun Pickups is Jess' band of the moment. We can't wait!!

In honor of our girls night out in April I found these vids for you. The first one is one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Evidently the guys from MUSE don't like it when TV producers tell them they have to perform using pre-recorded tracks, and I guess they have a kind of history of acting up when forced to do so. On this clip from an Italian TV show, the singer is 'playing' the drums, the drummer is on bass and lead vocals and the bassist is playing lead guitar and keyboards. AWESOME!

New Moon Soundtrack

According to MTV, the New Moon soundtrack release date was pushed from October 20 to October 16 due to "overwhelming and unprecedented" demand. Way to go Twilighters!! Myspace has had the tracks up for a few days now - has anyone had a chance to take a listen? I have and I've already got my faves. Now I just need to stay away from it so I don't start trying to figure out where each song fits in the story. I don't want EVERYTHING spoiled. Sheesh.

Jos and Mich went to the Diana Gabaldon book signing for An Echo in the Bone last week. I couldn't love this series or DG more!! She read an excerpt from book 7 and Jos and I both got giggly when it turned out to be a naughty Jamie bit. I love this woman!! Did you know she didn't start writing Outlander until she was 36? She's my new hero. There's still hope for us wannabe authors after all!

If you watched the 2009 MTV VMAs then you saw MUSE perform the song, The Uprising, live. Matthew Bellamy is freakin' AWESOME!!! Their new relase, The Resistance is available for purchase in the US today. You can hear an album sample here.

Everybody knows Supermassive Blackhole was the BEST song on the entire Twilgiht Soundtrack - and most will admit that the baseball scene was their favorite part of the movie, largely BECAUSE of the song. My love of MUSE pre-dates the knowledge that they were the soundtrack while she was writing Twilight. I can't wait to download my copy when I get home tonight. WOOT!

Jess and I are about as different as two people can be. She's an old school punk girl and I love crappy 80's and indie folk music. She's good at math and I suck at it. She likes beer, while I like vodka. Night and day. Ying and yang. Imagine my surprise when miracle of all miracles, I stumbled upon a pic this week that features two of our very favorite things. #1 Ewan McGregor for Jess, #2 a hot Scot (a la Jamie Fraser in Outlander) in a kilt for Mich. *sigh*

Anyone who has talked to us at the recent Twilight conferences knows I've got a big ol' goose-bumpy kind of love for Jamie Fraser and the Outlander series. Its so nice to hear that I'm not alone for my shameless infactuation with the burly Scot! I just found out that author, Diana Gabaldon, is doing a book signing in Denver for book 7, An Echo in the Bone, on September 23. Can't wait!!! Anyone else in Denver going? Wanna go??

We're starting a new blog feature: PIC OF THE WEEK. It might be a pic of our favorite vamps or wolves (yes, I said wolves - seeing the wolf pack in NJ has softened me up a bit for the beasties - YUM!). We might choose a favorite pic that maybe a customer sends in, or anything that might give us a tickle. To start this feature off proper, we've got a fun photo from our adventures at TwiTour this past weekend. Jess and I developed a little bit of a crush on Fire and Ice Photo's EDWARD. Seeing EDWARD play the piano does someting for the soul, not to mention goes a long way to suspend belief that a real EDWARD might really exist. WeBook is taking Spunk to Utah

5000 Twilight Moms are descending on Utah and WeBook Apparel is going to be there to get our Spunk on!! This of course means that we won't be in town to go to the midnight release of New Moon in our own hometown with our beloved book clubbers. BUT we will get to see it with our dear friend, Q, so all is well.

We are so excited and tired, as all the adrenaline from the past three days has finally subsided and our bodies and minds are beginning to shut down. We had such an amazing time and met a TON of fun people who speak our language. Thanks to everyone who stopped by and chatted about our favorite books, for everyone who fell in love with our shirts and took one (or 5!!) home with them and to all of the amazing people we met this weekend. 1. I get to talk Twilight for FOUR DAYS with people who speak fluent Edward.
2. I get to have TEX MEX and drink sangria swirled frozen margaritas from Papasitos
3. I get to see Rick Springfield in a Gilley's style honkey tonk on Saturday night
4. I get to be with my favorite girlies all weekend - and no kiddos!!
5. I get to meet a bunch of gals that I've been working with for ages, but have never seen face to face.
6. I'll be in close proximity to Emmett, Jasper and Alice and by 'close proximity' I mean within stalking distance. ;)

We're both just a little in love with Jared Leto / Jordan Catalano. It can't be helped. Kasabian provides Jess with her vampy soundtrack and KOL is just plain cool.

I was a little sad to see that the Pretty had almost fallen off the page. There aren't many rules around here, but there is one: A Robward post must be present on the front page at all times. Carry on...

We spent the ENTIRE day printing our "Imprint Me" shirts. They're gorgeous, but holy Hell...can't a girl just focus on the MOST important character and his shirts for one hot second? Jess loves the pup, and so do Jody and Tim, and today I get word that after a re-vamp of New Moon, Jos has crossed over as well. Has the world tilted on it axis and gone mad?

The pic that is included in this post is to placate our Jacob girls...and boys. Its rare, and quite honestly it hurt my heart to go in search of the damn thing, but after a few requests (thanks for the back up RUSS) I had to appease. Enjoy it while you can, it won't happen often.

Sunday was my nephews 10th birthday. When he opened his pressie from his gran, and revealed a box o'Twilight goodness I seriously had to put myself in check. I wanted to snatch it from his precious little hands just to see what the heck we were dealing with here, but I resisted. He just smiled at me and said it was a game we could leave at my house for when he visited. He may as well have said it with an exaggerated wink, because we all know as soon as it gets to my house, I'm not waiting for the 10 year old to break into the box to see whats what. Just when I thought that Summit might have stretched the limits of good licensing, my other precious nephew told me that there was even a Twilight video game for x-box. HUH??

Seems the pretty isn't having such a great week. Gossip and Entertainment sites are reporting that poor Robward is getting mobbed by 'mature' fans in NYC while he's filming a new non-Twilight movie. And by 'mature' they are simply referring to the fact that these crazy bitches aren't pre-pubescent and are old enough to know better. So of course I resent that these hoochies were categorized as 'mature.' The fact that these chicks had Edward Cullen's mug emblazened on the bags they had slung over their shoulders indicated they were frequent shoppers at HotTopic, and therefore not mature. Not to mention the ferocity in which they assaulted the obviously stressed out and shocked pretty - not very ladylike or mature. I'm not above stalking and you all know it, but one should practice a moderate amount of patience and decorum when you're dealing with someone who is as skittish as Robward. Where are your manners, ladies? Seriously. psh...

New Moon Movie News

There's been quite a few fan-made New Moon posters floating around - and some of them have been pretty good. We saw this one last week, but we weren't sure if it was official or just another good fan-made version. According to a friend who made a trip to the movies this weekend and made her boyfriend stop while she gawked at the supersize version, as well as the all knowing Perez, its the real deal.

The Indies are coming...

A new Twilight FanFic Writing Contest is in the works. More news to come!!

You may not know The Indie Twific Awards just yet, but you may know Hmonster4 and Gustariana. We are both avid fanfic readers and we have our own stories we write as well.
There are so many great stories out there yet they seem to get lost in the shuffle. So we put our heads together and came up with the idea for the Independent TwiFic Awards - a way to focus on the up and comers, the stories that aren't getting the recognition that they should. These awards will focus on these stories, and even though we all love the big stories that are hugely popular, we want to spotlight the ones that do not get enough press.
The purpose of the Independent Twific Awards (The Indies) is to highlight and promote the best "hidden gems" of the Twilight fanfic world. And what is an Indie story? It is a well written piece of fan fiction that has less than 30 reviews per chapter for a work in progress, or less than 1000 reviews for a completed work.
