Being from the DEEP south I can attest to the fact that we are very... VERY proud of our crazy people! Just to give you an idea of how proud we are, we even elect some of them to positions of Authority! i.e. the Governors of both Florida AND Georgia!
So... To those who may think you two are crazy, I would just say to them... "Jealousy, Phyllis, is an UGLY emotion! ;-)
